Chef Laurel comes from a family who enjoys being in the kitchen. She learned the basics of cooking when she was a young girl. She pursued a career in the arts field, but gave it up to stay home to start a family. It was at that time Laurel discovered that her true talent lies in the kitchen. As with many families, everyone has very different tastes and she became skilled in developing recipes for each of those individual palates.

In May of 2004, Laurel began a career as a personal chef and started her own business named “The Village Chef”. She prepares customized meals to each clients tastes, does all of the shopping, meal preparation and cleanup.

Laurel's greatest pleasure is introducing new and tasteful foods to be enjoyed at the dinner table.
